Vacant post of Vice-Chancellor

Qualified and interested candidates are invited for the vacant post of Vice-Chancellor, University of Delta State. Abraka, Nigeria.

Duties of the Vice-Chancellor:
(i) Notwithstanding the provisions of the Law of the University, the Vice-Chancellor under the University, has priority over all other members of the university, with the exception of the Chancellor and the Pro-Chancellor.
(ii) Notwithstanding the provisions of the Law of the University, the Vice-Chancellor has the general function, in addition to any other duties assigned by the University of law, directing the activities of the university, and the Head of executive and academic member of the University and chairman of the Senate.

Qualifications and experience:
(i) persons are not under the rank of professor of not less than 10 years related experience and standing in the university, the administration and management
(ii) The person must have PhD or equivalent in a relevant discipline.
(iii) The person must demonstrate academic and leadership through research grants and publications
(IV.) The applicant must be a person of character and personality of a teacher rounded, well explained and detribalized, versatile in international relations, and able to command national and international
(V.) Candidates must be familiar with the University operating primarily in the academic world, and have a Nack of principles that can guarantee the standards of university staff and students in achieving excellence.
(VI.) The candidate must understand the national goals and academic universities.
(VII.) Applicants must be of good health.
(VIII.) Applicants must be officially ICT compliant.

Office of the Bureau:
The Vice-Chancellor shall hold office for a period of several years and are no longer alone.

Terms of Service:
(i) The conditions of service are attractive and approved by the Nigerian government for universities, which are subject to revision from time to time.

(i) research journals / books publications:
(m) Administrative experience;
(n) academic awards / prizes (if applicable)
(0) Administration exposure of basic knowledge.

(q) the names and addresses of (3) Referees (at least one of the referees must be able to deliver academic / professional reference):
